Bathrooms

Downstairs, bathroom 1 has a bath, shower cubicle, double sink vanity unit with overhead lighting and a heated towel rail. The floor is of ceramic tiles and has under-floor heating. There's a separate loo - see the floor plan.

Upstairs, bathroom 2 has a shower cubicle, a double sink vanity unit with overhead lighting and a towel rail. The loo is integral with the bathroom. The floor is of ceramic tiles and has under-floor heating.

Both have shaver points and all towels, facecloths and bath mats are provided. We provide liquid hand soap and shower gel at the start of your holiday. If you forget your toothbrush or toothpaste, just ask. We have a toothbrush fairy.

A baby bath and changing mat are available on request.

Like most rural French houses, La Goupillère is not on mains drainage. It has a “fosse toutes eaux” that relies on a sensitive biological balance that, once upset or blocked, can be impossible to rectify without expensive intervention.

It is not onerous but guests need to be aware that nothing is to be put down the toilets other than the intended stuff and the toilet paper provided. Bins and bags are provided for solid and unsuitable waste.
